Snow Alert

** SNOW **
13 January 2017 – 7am Update

Our teams have been working hard to clear the sites from snow since before 6am. All pathways and internal drives are clear and accessible. The current status of the schools is as follows:

Braeside: all internal pathways and steps have been gritted and cleared at the Junior and Senior sites. The school will be accessible to pupils, but take care on the surrounding roads.

Coopersale Hall: Flux’s Lane and all main pathways have been gritted and cleared. The school will be accessible to pupils, but take care on the surrounding roads as Bower Hill is icy.

Normanhurst: all internal pathways have been gritted and cleared. The playground is currently being cleared. The school will be accessible to pupils, but take care on the surrounding roads.

Oaklands: all internal pathways and steps have been gritted and cleared. The school will be accessible to pupils, but take care on the surrounding roads. Albion Hill is covered at the moment and is particularly icy at the top and bottom so please avoid if possible.  Ed and Andy will be on the gates to receive children as usual.

School will be open as usual from 7.30am for those who can get to us, but please feel free to stagger your journey this morning and come in by 10am to give the roads a chance to clear where you are. Please make sure children bring coats, hats, scarves, gloves and boots for playtimes.

Thank you for bearing with us in the snow – the safety of you, your children and our staff is very important when considering whether or not to remain open.
