Yesterday was the day for the long-awaited Oak-Tree Spelling Bee. Eight children from Each school took part, two from each year group from Year 3 to Year 6. It was a wonderful opportunity to link with all the Oak-Tree schools and compete against each other. The event was hosted by Coopersale Hall School.
Each year group were given 20 challenging spellings linked to their age and curriculum. The four heats were rotated and points added up after each round. The children were challenged and they did us all proud.
The results were as follow:
Braeside School- 1st Place
Normanhurst School – 2nd Place
Coopersale Hall School – 2nd Place
Oaklands School – 3rd Place
All the children across the group enjoyed partaking in this competition and we will definitely have another challenge next year! We want to congratulate and thank each of the children who participated in this event. Well done Braeside and everyone who took part.
